Seed of Something Live and Clowns Pit

Hey Fruit Dwellers, ol hank here with another quick installment of Show Boatin With Hank the tank. First order of buisness before i show you my new video thati digetally made onb my Window computer is an announcement. I hjave just recieved word of des moines first new band in over 4 years! THey are called clown pit and your truely is going to ax for them. The early demos have been electric and the reviews are in and we are a hit. He's the first promo material for the hottest band around.

Ok so i nkow what your thinking, who do they sound like, disturers, metillicas, Limp Biscuits, these band ring a bell, ding fuckin dong! THats right Nu mEtal is back but with a limarita twist, we are goning to have inspirational lyircs and a Rick FLair with just a hint of southern rock. Probly costumes too. Definatly costumes. Me and my brother CHauncy statyed up super late las night drawing posters and band goals and stuff so now we just have to put this plan in action. The early demos have been soo good. The Seed Of Something Video-

DO yuo like music , do you like youth do you like.....old guitars. If you answered yuest to any of these questioners then the seeds of something is for you. I had the chance to see them at the Vaudeville Meuls in april and shot a moving photo film of one of their songs, (it might be acover not sure) but it defanitly is kick ass. Also someone in the crowd told me these dudes were still in BOardgin School and one of them is a sheet metal welder, i was think to my self who are these guys a welder ,young and full of the vinegar that could make an ol guitar weep. That was my only knock on these lads, how about some older guitars fellas, a few of them were kindof oldm but im thinkin Benji Hendrix old or Rob segar old. But that a small grip and im just an ol guitar nut. Overall pretty good rhythems solid moves and the pbrs i was sipping down my throat wer'nt to bad either. Look for these guys to lay some concrete on your moms boob if you ever get a chance to check the out. You can hear there tunes a the campband heres the link This is the link to hear the seeds music. Gem Blossoms?.. not so fast 90's

So i was listening to them Gem Blossoms the other night and after running it through my hank meter and doing a basic tenal analsis i made a stirring discovery. The pultar waves of them Gem Blossons is damn near identical to that of music today, i can say with near 60% certenty we are approaching the1990's sound and will fall back into the same time cycle once the pultar waves become identical meaning... you and your grandpa better get ready for a wilde rides.

Hank Meter: its just Metal, circuits and the eye of a young squirrel .

 If you hadn't heard, music like every other thing is cicleable and based on my sience its pretty clear the way thing are going we're heading back to Blossen Town again. This is great and makes hank happy because their song about Jodeci is prolly one of my favorite 13 songs. My friend Bellwether Johnson told me about how that song is about a depressed guy on a couch in a town. So what does this new time cycle...cycle 214, mean for music? Alot. Mainly that we can expect curt Kobin..or rather Curt Kobin II... to come back somewhere in the next year or so under the radio waves. THe song hey Jodeci was come out in the 90's and so did kurt cobin so it pretty likely that a new one of him will be out soon. He could be in the house next to your house right now, but dont go knocking or you could disturb him, and he has dogs. So Jodeci comes first and Kobin next, so what else does this mean for the near future, one word awesome cars.

The ford tauris is one of my favorite cars, its roomy, sleek, and dominantly fast, look for this one to make a come back, in a big way. What the kids calls throw back stlyle is based on music, and everything else follows in return similar to the duck park and the baby ducks going behind the parent duck. This Means we are going to see a number of things from the 90's come back, cars, pizza, pet rocks, vacuum machins its all going nineters baby.

 SO i was watching the surfs in the theatre, which was eggcellent, and saw an awesome trailer i had th tell abbot. It a new movie call Time Arms where in the future people get green tattoos of time so they think they can not die, i bet they die tho. It looks awesome and Stars Jestin Timerlake and Camron DIaz and has oscar written all over it! My favorite part of the trailer was when Jestin say gimme that time and then the guy totally does, but they both don't realize their just tattoos and they will both die, tattoos are neat but they arnt gonna stoop you from having a funeral, in the end green tattoos don't matter.

Hey there Guitar heads, Hank S here with another addition of Show Boatin with hank, this weeks write up is about the mantis pincers Cassette Tape release party that was on august 6th at the Vaudeville Mews. What a better way to comemerate the day that harry hedini performed his Amazing barrels of water trick then with a concert, if you couldn't already tell i am a big fan of music so i was pumped for this show cause everybody had been starting rumors that the Pince play really really old guitars, i was thinking to my self "awesome".
Normally i got to live concerts by my self cause i really like to focus on how old the bands guitars are but  i had invited my friend Gilm along cause he's really a fan of music to. Before the show we got ready for the show by drinken beers at the Royal Mile, a bar with europe beers. What do i like to do be for shows, i like to get my dunkle on.....dunkle party boom! Me and Gilm drank what seemed like 3 europe beers and then we headed over the the Vaudeville Mew to check out these old guitars.

Lager-Made those old guitars sound like the bomb.

Vaudeville Mews is a musical venue in Des Moines famous for its live music and famous bar tenders. One concert goer claimed a bar tender who works their was in Bladers with Leslie Sykes, awesome movie, but what is this Hollywood, nice try music fan, ol Hank Wasn't Born in August. Me and Gilm grabed a few bigboys and found a place to sit right next to the sound man whose name i believe was Lager or something like that, it was dark and loud at this point so it was defiantly about time to Pince, and see these old guitars.

Around 8:00the Pince took the stage, and started to play some of the oldest guitars i ever seen. I looked at the lead singer Devan's guitar and turned to Gilm and told him it was a fender, old one too! The music was great too. You can tell these guys know how to write a rockin song with titles like Shrimp Bisque and Squash Bisque. I felt like i was taken to a mysterious Nantucket rock show with the view of the oceans in the background of thos 60's esque old guitar rock. These guys totally hadthe feel of Gend Nickersons old stuff but with a new school flair. And Just when you think the Pince is about to sing a song about clam chowder, they spring a song called "The Financial Realm"  that  is about a nether region where orcs and demons fight over junkbonds and stock portfolios, i think, and those guitars...those sweet old guitars. Well i have some big news, after you last heard from me i was heading toward Montana for a ranchers open mic convention, crossing the wyoming boarder i was hit and injured severely by a buffalo deer mob nearly loosing some function of my hand connector.  The trooper cop who first arrived at the accident area called in a 409 and i was helicottered (new type of flying machine) back to Des Moines where they have a unit the deal specifically with hand connectors. Upon arriving back at the place i had just left after a luscious sopen (surprise open mic) mic i was brought into a professional hospital to save my hand connector. In fear i might loose some function of my hand connector Dr Kennis put me in an coma sleep so they could keep my hand under loose observation.

Well Dear readers about 4 hours ago i finally awoke from my inducted coma sleep, and for the first time in nearly 10 months i was awake. I felt just like Thom Crugers character must have felt in the hollywood motion picture "Vandella Sky", and to top it off my hand connectors hadn't lost any function, they worked just like when i was a kid and i lived at the king author court apartments in Georgia state. I high fived Dr Kennis so hard he said "ouch hank, you slow down you've been gone for a long time and things have changed".

Well i had seen Vandella Sky before so i knew that during my coma half my family had probably died, that their were probably flying Raz'or Scooters now and that Tina Turner was most likely now president of the council. So i prepared my self for the speech but the doctor didn't have any typical post coma news instead he went on to tell me that my Open Mic Consortium insurance doesn't cover coma sleeps and that i had amassed 367.00 $ in hospital coma fees, and that my car, a 1968 Dubuque town car ,was donated to a farmer to keep hoses in during the winter. In minutes i had gone from thinking i was in Vandella Sky to being broke and carless. "At least half my family didnt die", i said.

Dr Kennis then chimed in"Actually your mom did die, she was hit by a foul ball at a Baseball match and died of complications, but don't think about that. Whats important is that your not allowed to leave Des Moines until your expenses are paid. Anyway i have to go wash my expensive Mountain bike, good luck Hank" and Dr Kennis walked out.
